Thelma Lissette Mateo GENEVA- Thelma Lissette Mateo, 48, passed away peacefully on Fri. (Sept. 6, 2013), at Strong Memorial Hospital. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thurs. (Sept. 12), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Fri. (Sept. 13), at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneva. Thelma was born on April 18, 1965, in Geneva and was a daughter of Marcolina (Ortiz) Parker and the late Ramon Mateo, Sr. She worked as a server in the Geneva Middle School cafeteria. Thelma enjoyed dancing and listening to music, but above all, she cherished the time she spent with her children and family. She is survived by her companion, Jorge Collado of Geneva; children, Anthony Torres, Jose 'Joey' Torres, Ricardo 'Ricky' Torres, Cecilia Torres and Andrea Torres, all of Geneva; mother, Marcolina (Charlie) Parker of Geneva; brothers, Edgardo Banks of Lyons, Wilberto (Kecia) Banks of Lyons and Ramon (Peggy) Mateo, Jr. of NC; sisters, Lillian (Jeff) Banks Patrick of Newark, Evelyn Mateo Munoz of FL and Aida Mateo of Newark; grandchildren, Anthony 'Doeda' Torres, Josiah Torres, Jasmin Colon and Joselyn Montes; special niece and nephew, Marina and Edgar Echevarria and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
