We first met 32 years ago when our teenagers were friends at the youth group at the methodist church. We had a closer friendship after Mike arrived in the ward I worked in having been transferred from Guernsey after his stroke. Sally became his carer and encourager and as a result he made a wonderful recovery. I always remember her smile, her hospitality and her love of her two girls and grandchildren.
Richard and I send our love and condolences to Mike Claire and Marianne Richard and Isobel

I remember how welcoming and loving Sally (and Mike) were. Always smiling with exactly the right words to say. She was so wise. I have such fond memories of turning up to see Claire and just feeling so welcome and special. I also remember her rubbing Marie Ann's tummy when she had tummy ache. A wonderful lady with Jesus at her very core. Sending much love to all the family at this time. Rachel (Donaldson-Leigh) xxxx

I remember Sally from my time as a teenager at Four Oaks Methodist and later as an adult at Sutton Coldfield Baptist. My most special memories are of her hosting me at lunchtimes when we couldn't stay at school (Arthur Terry) and of her no nonsense attitude but wonderful laughter.
My condolences to Mike Clare and Marie-Anne and your families.
May Sally rest in peace and rise in glory x

I will miss Sally every time I sew with her sewing machine and remember teaching her to quilt. I am honored to have been her friend.
