Daddy lost his great grandson on July 17th, 2008, which was his and Mama’s anniversary date. He was only 23 months old. He will be forever loved and I know he’s dancing with Daddy. He inherited his dancing from many relatives. Kelli, his mama, as well as so many, will always have him in our hearts. Much love Julian Trace…

To my favorite domino player... I was so blessed to spend a week with you and be reminded of your funny jokes and that precious smile. To the funny story about you losing your shoe in Vietnam, to you admiring pics of me in my younger years. I will always cherish those moments. Love you Grandpa...

Despite your many efforts and the fact you deserved the Purple Heart… the Silver was all you got! I know how proud you were regardless!

Ross came into our family during my teenage years, and I was so impressed with him when he was dating my cousin, Loyce Mullins. When they were involved in a serious accident, I truly admired the way that Ross dedicated himself to taking care of Loyce as she recovered, and the two married with her still in a wheelchair. He had such a love of life and a great sense of humor. My heart goes out to his kin and friends, and I take comfort in the fact that I got to know him, though for too short a time, and realize what a super guy he was. An all around lovely man.

Daddy’s best friend and longest friend was John Mantzaris. He loved telling me so many stories about John. He was especially proud that he would come to visit him as much as he could. That meant so very much to my Daddy. Now he’s the only one left in his pattalion. So very proud!

Daddy how I miss you already! Thanks for the laughter we shared throughout all the years. We also shed some tears as well but I will always remember the love and those words you always said.. Love you my #1 Baby Girl. I was your first born little girl and the last one standing with you. I’m very thankful I was able to spend time with you theses last few years. We had lots of laughs and played many a dominoes games along with some cards as well. Oh how you love to play games. And despite your memory loss, you always would win. We shared so many stories together. When we had our time together, we filled the room with love! I have that Joslyn personality with that thick wavy hair as does my daughter, Kelli! You took much pride in that! My Mama, Loyce, left me the big smile! She was your first love and always held a part of your heart! Thanks to everyone who took care of my Daddy especially Rob and Roxanne.. they really had a special place in his heart! Always my love Daddy and I will continue to miss you everyday until I see you, Mama and Ricky again….

Daddy you were always apart of my life. From making visits down South to see me and my family. You were here during the birth of Kelli and boy were you mad she wasn’t that boy you had been waiting for! You drove down to New Orleans to watch a very important basketball game Shea played in. Once back in Benton, she attempted to drive you around town. That was a trip for sure. Kelli went to spend a week with you in New York. So thankful she was able to even come up and spend time with you a year ago. What wonderful memories we had playing some cut throat dominoes. Oh how she loved you as well.

Loved you Daddy from the first time you held me when I was born in Seneca Falls. You and your first love, my Mama, Loyce, were so happy to have a little girl to join your beautiful little boy, Ricky. You always loved to dance and after you taught me how to twist, we were in a contest and we won! Putting a juke box in the living room helped I guess…
