LYONS- Deacon James Junior Jenkins, 74, was called to eternal rest on Thurs. (Jan. 18, 2024), 2:12p.m. at Rochester General Hospital. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sat. (Jan. 27), at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 70 Clark St. Geneva. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., in the church. The burial will be held at 11 a.m. Mon. (Jan. 29), in South Lyons Cemetery, with full military honors. James was born on Aug. 22, 1949, in Union Springs, AL and was the son of the late Henry Lee and Estelle (Cole) Jenkins. He served his country in the United States Army from 1968 to 71 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. James worked as the assistant director for the Newark Developmental Center. He leaves to mourn, his loving wife of 36 years, Susan (Davis) Jenkins of Lyons; children, Janice Graham of Seneca Falls, Cassandra (Darryl) Turpin of Decatur, GA, Linwood Snow of Fla., Jaime (Lori) Jenkins of MO, Brenton Davis of Lyons, Eddie Brinson of Geneva and John Miles of California; sister, Mary Turpin of Chicago; niece, Timmetta Turpin of Chicago; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
