I am so very sorry to hear of Ian's passing. I remember Ian as a bright and engaging young man with incredible athletic ability. Your loss must be heart wrenching and my prayers are for your family and especially Donovan. I was Donovan's 2nd grade teacher and Ian helped me put up hay in the summer--both made a lasting impression on me.

I had Ian as a student in some of my classes at Newark High School. I also live in Lyons and was blessed to have run into him a few times this fall for the first time since his high school days. It was so wonderful to talk with him and hear him tell me about his wonderful children, his job, what he was doing in life. I was able to meet Debra as well one evening when we all crossed paths at the Chinese restaurant. He was so proud of his family. My heart breaks for all of you, and you will all be in my prayers.

Ian is an amazing person. I have watched him grow from a young teen into a man,
husband,father...friend. I consider Ian a brother to me as I do his sisters & brothers also! Ian will light up the heavens with his beautiful smile, great attitude and musical talents. If we listen close enough, we can all hear the songs, the laughter & feel the love. I will miss you always!
