Obituary of Florence J. Pedulla

Florence J. Pedulla GENEVA, NY- Florence J. Pedulla, 88, passed away peacefully on Tues. (March 25, 2014), at the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thurs. (March 27), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Fri. (March 28), at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Florence was born on Nov. 16, 1925 in Geneva, NY, and was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Rose (DeMaria) Morabito. She co-owned, with her husband James, Pedulla's Import Grocery Store, and then opened and operated Pedulla's Liquor Store in Geneva. Florence was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the 3rd Order of St. Francis, the Geneva Women's Club and St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. She is survived by her sons, Francis (Angela) Pedulla of Peoria, Ill., and James (Lori) Pedulla of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Rose Ann Pedulla of Ovid, NY, Theresa Finnerty of Geneva, NY and Melanie (John) McDonald of Geneva, NY; sister, Jean Jeliniowski of PA; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Florence was predeceased by her husband, James J. Pedulla; brothers, Dominick, August, John and Sam; sisters, Kate, Mary, Susie and Emma; son-in-law, Gary Finnerty. Florence's family would like to thank the staff of the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo for their exceptional care.
