Obituary of Ruth C. Sigloch

Ruth C. Sigloch GENEVA-Ruth C. Sigloch, age 94, passed away peacefully on Sun. (May 25, 2014) at Geneva Living Center South. At Ruth's request, there will be no calling hours. Services and interment will be at her friends convenience. Memorial contributions can be made to Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E River Road, Waterloo, NY in honor of Ruth's love for animals. Ruth was born on July 7, 1919 in Newark, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late George D. and Helen (Truhe) MacFarlane. Ruth married Frederick A. Sigloch on January 15, 1939. Ruth moved to Geneva in 1958 when her husband was transferred with the American Can Company, where he worked until his death in 1978. Ruth was known as being a lover of animals and was commonly seen walking her dogs in the city of Geneva. Ruth was captivated by clowns, which was a theme for many of her collectibles and she loved all things oriental. She enjoyed cooking as well as dining out, and would rarely turn down a beer. She was a past member of the local Take Pounds Off Sensibly (TOPS #672) Chapter. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and especially by her loyal Geneva friend, Roma Collins.
