Obituary of Evelyn L. Buck

WATERLOO- Evelyn L. Buck, 89, passed away on Thurs. (Oct. 2, 2014), at Geneva General Hospital. In honoring her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be directed to the Beverly Animal Shelter 50 E. River St. Waterloo, NY 13165. Evelyn was born on July 19, 1925 in Geneva, NY and was a daughter of the late Robert and Ida (Gorton) Naragon. She enjoyed stamp collecting, coin collecting, gardening, bird watching and taking care of her family. Her great-granddaughter, Alex will take over the stamp collection and great-granddaughter, Audrey will take over the coin collection. She is survived by her sons, Bill (Charlene) Buck of Waterloo and Steve Buck of Penn Yan; daughter, Linda (Richard) Bennett of Waterloo; grandchildren, Kelly (Ron) Carroll of Carr, CO, Lisa (Jeff Swan) Buck of East Rochester, Michele (Tim) DeYoung of Waterloo, Cody Buck of Albany, Carlee Buck of Gaffney, SC, Steven (Lisa) Seabury of Garden City Park, NY, Shannon (Bill) Kolbeck of Canandaigua, Heather (Dave Beck) Seabury of Cato and Melanie (Scott) Raes of Shortsville; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Alyssa Carroll, Robert Gittens and Audrey Buck Swan, Alexandra DeYoung, Emma Seabury, Taylor, Quinton and Morgan Kolbeck, Scoutt Cotto and Sebastian Durgee, Eliott Raes; several nieces and nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Elmer Buck, they were married in Lincoln, NE on June 29, 1943, while serving in the Army Air Corps.; brothers, Albert, Donald, Leo and Gerald Naragon; sister, Althea Aldridge.
