WATERLOO-Neil A. Metheny, 67, passed peacefully away on Sunday (Oct. 19) at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo with his family at his side. Friends may call from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Friday (Oct. 24) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. Funeral service will follow calling hours at 12:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be at Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Cancer Center in his memory. Neil was born on Nov. 16, 1946 in Geneva, NY and was the son of the late Wilma M. (DeLand) and Donald W. Brooks. He graduated from Geneva High School in 1964, was an Air force Vietnam Veteran, a Teacher and Coach at Neschaba Central School in Mississippi and later at Romulus Central School. After retirement Neil became a Bus Driver at CATS in Hopewell, NY. Neil enjoyed hunting, fishing and remodeling. He is survived by his wife Joan A. Metheny of Waterloo, NY; step sons Frederick (Chanettle) Bouchey of Florida and Christopher (Wendy) Bouchey of Waterloo; sister Kay F. Millis of Geneva; grandchildren William, Kayle and Dillon Bouchey, Gregory and Sabrina Brown; great grandchildren Starlynn and Isaac Colbert; nieces Tammy (Stephen) Healy and Shannon (Rob) Bennett; great nieces and nephews Stephen and Courtney Healy, Russell and Kayanna Fowler.
