Obituary of Irene B. Presutti

GENEVA- Irene 'Rene' Visco Presutti, 89, passed away peacefully on Thurs. (June 25, 2015), at Geneva General Hospital. In honoring her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Fri. (July 3), in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456, or the Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes 94 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456. She was born on Aug. 1, 1925 in Geneva and was a daughter of the late Henry and Anna (Balletta) Visco. Rene worked at the Plaza Bakery, Sunset Bowl and Hulse Manufacturing. She enjoyed bowling, spending time with her family and volunteering. Rene was a very loving, and giving person, who could not do enough to help others. She volunteered at the Smith Opera House and many church fundraising functions. Rene was a devoted member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, the American Legion Auxiliary, the GAIL Lodge, the Rosary Society and Martha Ministry. Rene is survived by her brother, Patrick Visco of Geneva; daughter-in-law, Mary Lou Presutti of Geneva; grandson, Richard J. (Michele) Presutti of Williamsville, NY; great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Justin and Gabrielle Presutti; sister-in-law, Jenny Visco; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Gabriel Presutti, son, Richard Presutti, brothers, Anthony Visco and and his wife Mary and Henry Visco, Jr.; sister, Catherine Moses and her husband Michael; sister-in-law, Catherine Visco.
