After college, she was employed for a year at Shuron Optical Co. in Cost Accounting. From there, she moved to New York City and joined J.M. In 1954, she married Richard H. Phaler, an insurance adjuster. He died in Dec. 1982. Coralie was a volunteer at the Geneva General Hospital's Mobile Meals Program and was a cashier in the Lobby Shop for many years. She was the Transportation Coordinator for the American Cancer Society, who arranged rides, through volunteer drivers, to various area hospitals for patient's treatments. Coralie spent over 20 years at the Linden Exchange, serving as sales clerk, its treasurer and on the Board of Directors. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, the Seneca Yacht Club, the Geneva Historical Society, Geneva General Hospital Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Finger Lakes Regional Arts Council, and a life member of the Geneva Free Library.
