Obituary of Catherine M. Visco

GENEVA - Catherine M. Visco, 83, passed away peacefully on Tues. (Jan. 18, 2011) at 1:40 a.m. at Geneva General Hospital. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thurs. (Jan. 20) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Funeral services will begin with prayers at the funeral home at 9 a.m. Fri. (Jan. 21), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456. Catherine was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Geneva, and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Luzzi) Chilbert. She resided on Snell Road for over 53 years. Catherine was a graduate of DeSales High School. She worked at several different jobs, including the Plaza Bakery and Stern's Nursery. Catherine volunteered at many places throughout the years. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, in Geneva. Catherine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Patrick F. Visco, Sr. of Geneva; children, Patrick F. Visco, Jr. of Geneva, Karen (Thomas) DeJohn, of Geneva, Stephen (Maria) Visco of Plattsburg and Kenneth (Karen) Visco of Fairport; grandchildren, Stephanie (Travis) Rankin, Patricia (Shaun Castellano) Visco, Nikolas, Simon (Trisha Hample), Corey and Maya DeJohn and Jeffrey and Erik Visco; siblings, Joseph (Jean), Anthony (Ellie), Elizabeth (Nick) Reres, Richard (Sharon), Eleanor (Paul) Bothwell, Patricia (Ronald) Mellini, Thomas (Ellie) and Gennaro (Ellen) Camelio; sisters and brothers-in-law, Irene Presutti, Virginia Chilbert, Jenny Visco and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her brother, Dominick Chilbert; in-laws, Michael and Catherine Visco, Anthony "Red" and Mary Visco, Henry Visco and Gabriel Presutti.
