Albert Anthony Cupelli GENEVA - Albert Anthony Cupelli, 94, passed away on Wed. (Aug 1, 2011), at the Canandaigua Veterans Medical Center. Albert was born in Geneva on September 2, 1916, and was a life long resident. As a young man, Albert was an amateur boxer. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during WW II, and served as a tank gunner for the Armored Division. During the Battle of the Bulge, Albert was captured and held as a POW until the end of the war. Upon returning to Geneva, Albert met and Married Yolanda Moyer. They had two Children. Albert was a member of the Geneva Apple Knockers Drum and Bugle Corps. He was an avid bowler, a crossword puzzle enthusiast, and a dedicated New York Yankees fan. He worked as a machinist at the Hulse Manufacturing Co. for 35 years, until retiring in 1981. Albert is survived by his wife, Yolanda; son Anthony (Teresa) Cupelli; daughter Mary (Steve) Pacelli; grandchildren Tony, Sarah and Emily Cupelli; great grandchildren Lucas, Aidan and Charlotte Cupelli. Albert was pre-deceased by his eight brothers and sisters, and by one grandson, Randy Pacelli.
