Obituary of Dominic DeRosa

Dominic DeRosa GENEVA - Dominic DeRosa, 91, beloved Dad, Papa and Great Papa passed away on Wednesday (Aug. 24, 2011), at the Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 6), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC, 28 Genesee St., Geneva. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday (Sept. 7) at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church, 48 Pulteney Street, Geneva. Dominic was born August 17, 1920, in Seneca Falls, N.Y., and was a son of the late Pasquale and Virginia DeRosa. He was employed by the American Can Company as a tool and die maker, retiring after 24 years. Dominic was a member of St. Stephen's Church. He enjoyed golf and playing his guitar for the residents of many local nursing homes. He always had a smile for you, and was loved by all who knew him. He is survived by his sons: Patrick (Elizabeth) DeRosa of Farmington, Dominic (Janeen) DeRosa of Henderson, Nevada; sisters: Rose (Pat) Johns of Seneca Falls, Mary McCarthy of Austin, Texas; sister-in-law; Rose DeRosa of Geneva, two grandchildren: Scott (Donna) DeRosa of Victor and Brian (Erin) DeRosa of Cedar Park, Texas; great grandchildren: Amber Lynn, Mia Grace, Olivia Grace DeRosa and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Dominic was predeceased by his wife of 65 years; Eunice (Marino) DeRosa; brothers, Frank and Joseph DeRosa.
