Obituary of Madeline H. DeMaria

Madeline H. DeMaria GENEVA - Madeline H. DeMaria, 90, passed away on Thurs. (Oct. 6, 2011), at the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo. In honoring her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Tues. (Oct. 11), at St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456. Madeline was the daughter of the late Lena and Louis DeMaria. She attended De Sales High School. Madeline worked at the Sampson Naval Base. Her most recent employment was in the medical records department at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, NY. Madeline was best known as the 'Aunt Maddy' of the DeMaria family. She was a regular and welcomed visitor to her families' homes. She is survived by her sister, Mildred Pettrone, sisters-in-law, Madeline and Anna DeMaria and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Madeline was predeceased by her five brothers, Peter, Joseph, Nicholas, Carmen and Salvatore and two sisters, Jane Branciforte and Mary Nardone. She spent her final days at the Huntington Living Center. The DeMaria family expresses great gratitude to the Huntington Living Staff and Dr. Platzer for their compassionate care of 'Maddy'.
