Obituary of Agnes M. Commesso

Agnes M. Commesso GENEVA - Agnes M. Commesso, 97, passed away on Thurs. (Oct. 13, 2011) at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Mon. (Oct. 17) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be directed to St. Francis De Sales Church, 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456. Agnes was born on Aug. 3, 1914 in Ithaca, NY, and was a daughter of the late Charles and Eva (Thatcher) Stahl. She was a member of the Rosary Society, and a long term member of TOPPS. Agnes, "the old fashioned homemaker", loved to cook and bake and continued to until she was 94 years old. She served food to the students at the Prospect Ave. School for years. She is survived by her daughters, Patricia 'Pat' (Don) Rasmussen of Geneva and Marie Lord of Yuma, AZ; grandchildren, Kathy (Matt) Jones, David (Sue) Rasmussen, Mark (Terri) Rasmussen and Chris (Lori) D'Agostino; 9 great-grandchildren, 6 great, great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Gerri Carone, Eunice Snowny and several nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Commesso; grandchildren, Cynthia Rasmussen, Billy D'Agostino and Robbie D'Agostino; son-in-law, Russ Lord; brothers, William and Albert; sisters, Lizzie, Minnie, Mildred, Sarah and Jennie.
