William L. DeBacco
COLONIE/GENEVA - William L. DeBacco, 81, died on Tues. (Oct. 25, 2011), at Van Rensslaer Manor in Troy, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Fri. (Oct. 28), at Christ Our Light Catholic Church in Loudonville. Interment was in St. Agnes Cemetery Mausoleum.
William was born on April 2, 1930, in Geneva, NY, and was the son of the late William and Antoinette Tarantelli DeBacco. He was a 1948 graduate of Geneva High School and a 1952 graduate of Hobart College, in Geneva. William was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was an office manager for Green Island Contracting Corporation in Colonie, NY for over 40 years. In his later years, William worked as a court clerk for the Town of Colonie. He was married to the late Johanna Stockman for 44 years, until her death in 2004.
He is survived by his two daughters, Donna (Michael) Kowalczak and Christine (David) Saxe; brothers, Carmen (Dorothy) DeBacco, Ronald (Mary Ellen) DeBacco, and Deno (Margaret) DeBacco; sister, Mary Lou (Thomas) Massara; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
William was preceded in death by his parents, William and Antoinette DeBacco; wife, Johanna DeBacco and sister, Vivian Musella.
