Obituary of Ruth A. Weller

Ruth A. Weller GENEVA- Ruth A. Weller, 88, passed away peacefully on Mon. (May 28, 2012), at the Seneca Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. In honoring her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A funeral service will be held at a later date. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the charity of one's choice, the Seneca County ARC 1083 Waterloo-Geneva Rd. Waterloo, NY 13165, or the Ontario County ARC 3071 County Complex Dr. Canandaigua, NY 14424. Ruth was born in Geneva on Sept. 9, 1923 and was the daughter of the late Clement and Elizabeth Goodman Cole. She attended Geneva High School, graduated in 1941, and was a member of the National Honor Society. In 1947 Ruth married Lawrence Weller. She was employed by Shuron Optical and Andes Range before becoming a housewife and caregiver. Ruth was one of the founding parents of the Maxine Abbey School. She loved to dance and was known for her sense of humor. Ruth was a member of the Kingdom Hall in Waterloo. The family would like to thank the Seneca Nursing Home and transport services, Clifton Springs Clinic and Dr. Meredith Waheed for all their services and care. She is survived by her sons, David (Eileen) Weller and Robert (Deborah) Weller, all of Geneva; daughter, Linda (Patrick) Barrett of Pine City, NY; grandson, David L. (Julie) Weller; great granddaughter, Katie Weller; sisters-in-law, Peggy Cole of Geneva, Barbara Cole of Bellona and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by her husband, Lawrence G. Weller in 1965; daughter, Donna Weller and brothers, Edmund, Douglas, Thomas and Donald Cole.
