Obituary of Mary Egbert

Mary Egbert GENEVA- Mary Egbert, 85, passed away on Mon. (Aug. 13, 2012), at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. Sat. (Aug. 18), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A graveside service will be held in Brookside Cemetery at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Mercy Flight Central, Inc. 2420 Brickyard Rd. Canandaigua, NY 14424. Mary was born on March 30, 1927 in Geneva and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (DeFrancesco) Marchenese. She worked for Hobart and William Smith Colleges for 30 years, to which she took great pride in developing many great friendships with the students. Mary enjoyed cooking and baked phenomenal pies and cookies. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She is survived by her husband Richard Egbert of Geneva; son, Stephen Egbert of Rochester; daughter, Donna (Kenn) Gibbs of Geneva; brother, Nick (Beverly) Marchenese of Geneva; sister, Pauline (Charlie) Bracko of Geneva grandchildren, Brandi (Jim) Smith, Amy (Tom) Pequignot and Jessica (Christian) Krogh; great grandchildren, Gianna and Zoey Smith, Connor Krogh and Bailey Pequignot; sister-in-law, Frances Dunn of Newark; brother-in-law, Eugene (Betty) Egbert of Geneva; great nephew, Josh Passalacqua and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Mary was predeceased by her brother, Jimmy Marchenese and sister, Madeleine Passalacqua.
