Her career path included working at Bell Aircraft during WWII (she also attended the USO dances), New York Telephone Company, Newark Hospital (as a switchboard operator), she was a Counselor at FLACRA, and worked for Tops Markets in price comparing. She is a past president of the New York State Federation of Republican Women (7th Judicial District). She also served as a past President of the Women’s Rights National Historical Park. She was an elections inspector for many years. She was very involved in community, church, and family. She established “Parents without Partners” in Lyons in the 1960’s. She served as a Deacon in the church and was part of the Geneva Presbyterian Women’s Golden Circle. She also sang in the church choirs at both Geneva and Lyons Presbyterian Churches. Connie was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 396 in Geneva, and a Girl Scout Leader for years. She was an amazing spirited mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her energy and caring will be missed by all and she would be happy to know that the things most important to her would be carried on by all who knew her: love, compassion, caring, and empathy for fellow human beings. She raised three daughters making sure they experienced church, camping, girl scouts, 4H, music and family. There is nothing she wouldn’t have done, or didn’t do for her girls. Her grandchildren experienced her zest for new adventures, and her curiosity for nature. She always believed in their potential and encouraged that potential. Her 11 great grandchildren provided her with many hours of hugs, kisses and hours of joy: Preston, Nicholas, Ella, Jack, Sophia, Reagan, Ryleigh, Olivia, Dylan, Molly, and Cohen. Constance was born on May 18, 1924 in Newark, and was a daughter of the late Leslie LeRoy and Florence (Reeves) Clark.
