Rodney A. Salone
GENEVA- Rodney A. Salone, 69, passed away peacefully on Thurs. (July 16), with his family by his side. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Mon. (July 20), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tues. (July 21), in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.

Rodney was born on Sept. 9, 1945 to the late Frederick, Sr. and Alice (Stoneback) Salone. HE graduated from Messina High School in 1964. Rodney enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1971. He received many honorable medals of recognition while in the military. Rodney served 14 months in Vietnam and was proud of his country and the Marine Corps. In 1983, he joined the National Guard and eventually became 1st Sergeant. Rodney became a member of the Laborers Union Local 103 in 1972 and retired as president in 2005. He was a Mets and Syracuse University basketball fan, looking forward to every game. Rodney loved his family unconditionally, especially his grandchildren, Jordan and Kendall Salone.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ann (Serrett) Salone; daughter, Dawn Salone; son, Anthony Salone; grandchildren, Jordan and Kendall Salone; sisters, Anna “Ginger” Callahan and Stephanie (Donald) Calabrese; brothers, Fred (Theresa) Salone and Stephen (Sandra) Salone; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rodney was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Anthony “Junior” Serrett; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Anthony and Sara Serrett.
