Roberta J. Yancey
GENEVA- Roberta J. Yancey, 70, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Mon. (Sept. 14, 2015). To honor her request, she was able to pass away at home, with her loving family by her side. There will be no prior services.
Roberta was born on Dec. 23, 1944 in Canandaigua. She worked for many years at IEC Electronics in Newark, before going back to school at age 58, becoming an LPN. Roberta retired from the VA Hospital in Canandaigua. She loved to cook and go shopping, but most of all she enjoyed spending most of her time with close family.
She is survived by her husband, Carl G. Yancey of Geneva; children, Sean Bailey of Phelps, Shannon (Marcus) Bailey-Bradley of Waterloo and Jeremy (Menessah) Bailey of Geneva, Tina Yancey of Lackawanna and Carl A. Yancey of Marysville, OH; sister, Janet Seeling of Canandaigua; grandchildren, Kashaw, Bryant, Savahn, Marhkaela, Jenia, Jaela, Mason, Cory, Summer, Charles, Pete and Joey.
Roberta is predeceased by her late husband Robert Bailey.
