Obituary of Gloria C. Riccione

Gloria C. Riccione GENEVA – Gloria C. Riccione, 85, passed away peacefully on Thurs. (Feb. 4, 2016), at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wed. (Feb. 10), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee ST. Geneva. VFW Ladies Auxiliary will meet at 3:30 p.m. at funeral home for prayers. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thurs. (Feb. 11), in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canandaigua VA Medical Hospital, 400 Fort Hill Ave. Canandaigua, NY 14424, or a veteran organization of one's choice. Gloria was born on July 31, 1930, in Fairmont, W.V. She was very patriotic, spending most of her life volunteering for veterans and children through the VFW and American Legion. Gloria served as the president of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary for 30 years and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Every year she attended the annual American Legion Canadian trip with her sister-in-law, Francis Riccione. Gloria enjoyed sewing and arts and crafts. She spent countless hours making crafts such as doll clothes, blankets and scarves, to name a few. Holidays were a favorite and were always spent with family. She loved organizing holiday parties for the kids and cherished every moment. Gloria enjoyed traveling every summer to visit family with her daughter, Candy and grandson, Elijah. She lived a very independent, happy, giving, healthy and active life right until the end. Gloria's family was everything to her and she was very proud of all of them. She is survived by her daughters, Candy (Leon) Perot and Pam (Nile) Weed; sons, Jim (Wanda) Riccione, Mitch T. Riccione and Robert (Tammy) Riccione; grandchildren, Elijah Perot, Nicole (Rusty) Zimmerman, Mitch A. Riccione, Cory Riccione, Meghan Riccione, Christopher Riccione and Katy Riccione, Haley Bay Riccione, Cassandra Riccione and Angel Riccione, Nile Jr. and Troy Weed; 9 great-grandchildren. Gloria was predeceased by her husband, Michael Riccione in 1981 and son, Dennis Riccione in 2015.
