Jennie T. Morelli
GENEVA-Jennie (Thomas) Morelli, 95 yrs. old, passed away on Sat. (Jan. 5, 2013) at Geneva General Hospital with her family at her side. At Jennie's request, there will be no prior calling hours. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday (Jan. 11) at 9:30 AM at St. Francis De Sales Church. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
Mrs. Morelli was born in Geneva on January 27, 1917, the daughter of the late Abraham and Mary (Norman) Thomas. She was a graduate of Oswego State Teaching College. She owned and operated Morelli's Grocery Store for 20 years, retiring in 1988. Jennie was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, at St. Francis Church.
She is survived by two daughters; Jacqueline (Carl) Roberti of Hollywood, FL and Mary Jane Sbrocco of Geneva, NY; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Morelli was predeceased by her husband, Carmen Morelli in 1994; sisters, Julia (Thomas) Albert and Martha (Thomas) Bleich; brother, Thomas A. Thomas of Hollywood, FL and son-in-law, Mario Sbrocco.
