John Francis Russo Jr.
TRUMBULL, CT. - John Francis Russo Jr. age 36 of Trumbull, CT. passed away on Monday February 18, 2013 after a courageous four year battle with leukemia at Yale University Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday (Feb. 22) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Sat. (Feb. 23), at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. Burial will be held in Oak Lawn Cemetery following the mass.

John was born in Geneva, NY on January 10, 1977, he was a son of John Francis and Nancy (Cullinan) Russo of Geneva. John was a 1995 graduate of Geneva High and a 1999 graduate of Hartford University with a Bachelor of Science degree.
While at Geneva High, John was a high school standout in baseball and basketball. At Hartford, John played Division 1 baseball where he was captain of the team his senior year. He was inducted into the Geneva Sports Hall of Fame in 2007.
On July 13, 2002, John married the love of his life, Tamara Jaworoski Russo and together they cherished a loving 10 1/2 year marriage.
In 2003, John joined his father-in-law's family owned business Heritage Plumbing as Vice President. John received his Master Plumbing License in 2005 and in 2008 became owner and President of the family business renaming the company Heritage Plumbing Services LLC. His business motto was "Do it right the first time" and John prided himself in doing just that.
John was a fun loving, outgoing person who was respected and loved by all who knew him. John was a loyal and devoted husband, son, brother, and friend who loved his family and friends very much . For John, "These were the good times". John was a sports enthusiast who loved his Cleveland Browns. During Football season, you could always find John on Sundays, dressed in his Cleveland Browns jersey rooting on his Browns. John never got discouraged by his illness and always reassured his family by saying "We will take it one day at a time and be grateful for every day we have together". John loved and cherished life to its fullest and was truly an inspiration to all that knew him. He will be sadly missed by all his loving family and friends.
The family would like to thank the many health care workers who cared for John as well as the many relatives and friends that showed so much support throughout his four year battle.
In addition to his wife and parents, John is survived by a brother, Brian (Machelle) Russo and their daughter Isabella of Canandaigua, NY, Paternal Grandmother, Susan Russo, of Geneva, NY, Aunts, Frances (Gordon) Lowery of Knoxville TN., Barbara (James) Broomfield, of Geneva, NY, Patricia Prober, of Clifton Springs, NY, Uncles, Donald (Sandy) Russo of Clifton Springs NY, Ken (Sarah) Estes, of Lakeland FL., Father and Mother-in-law Leon and JoAnne Jaworoski, Brother In-laws, Jason Jaworoski (and his Fiancée Patricia Valencia)and Dennis Jaworoski all from Stamford, CT., his Boxer canine buddy, Harley and many close cousins. John was pre-deceased by his Paternal Grandfather Salvatore Russo, Maternal Grandparents, Charlotte Eighmey, and Michael Cullinan.
