Mary J. Laquitara GENEVA- Mary J. Laquitara, 92, passed away peacefully on Thurs. (Oct. 5, 2017), at Strong Memorial Hospital. Family and friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Sun. (Oct. 8), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Mon. (Oct. 9), at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456, or Strong Memorial Hospital Hospice Unit, 601 Elmwood Ave. Rochester, NY 14642. Mary was born in Pittston, PA on May 26, 1925 and was a daughter of the late Angelo and Pauline (Biara) Falcone. She was a dedicated and loving homemaker who provided her family with a comfortable home. Mary enjoyed baking, playing rummy and scoop, and spending time with her family. She was part of the "State St. Gang", and was known to feed the entire neighborhood. Mary was the last original member on State St. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She is survived by her sons, Joseph (Kathy) Laquitara III of Las Vegas and Angelo (Donna) Laquitara of Geneva; brother, Samuel Falcone of Denmoore, PA; grandchildren, Joey (Alli) Laquitara IV, Michael (Talia) Laquitara, and Gina (Marty) Enz, Amanda Laquitara and Sara Laquitara; great-grandchildren, Ashton, Jax, Kason, Landen, Miles and Zoey; several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband Joseph Laquitara; brothers, Angelo Falcone, Johnny Falcone, and Joseph "Peppy" Falcone; sisters, Annie Moracco, Carrie Guilano, Josephine Falcone, Pauline Jones, Jennie Falcone and Francine Bryck.
