William "Bill" S. Palmer

SENECA FALLS- William "Bill" S. Palmer, 50, passed away on Sun. (Sept. 9, 2018), at Geneva General Hospital. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thurs. (Sept. 13), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Fri. (Sept. 14), in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Seneca Falls. Burial will follow in Sampson Veterans Memorial Cemetery.

Bill was born on May 11, 1968, in Geneva and was a son of William M. and Louise Arlene (Cardinale) Palmer. He graduated in 1986 from Geneva High School, where he played football and wrestled for the Geneva Panthers. Bill served his country honorably in the United States Army from 1986-89. He met his wife, Joanna, of 18 years, while working together in New Mexico. Bill went on to become a NYS Corrections Officer at the Five Points Correctional Facility. Bill loved his children and nieces and nephews. He would attend all of their sporting events and talk sports with them. Bill was an avid sports fan and loved watching the New York Jets and New York Mets. He was a member of the Masonic Pocahontas Lodge in Seneca Falls.

He is survived by his wife, Joanna (McCarty) Palmer of Seneca Falls; children, Breanna Palmer of Santa Fe, NM, William S. Palmer III of Seneca Falls, Samirah Palmer of Seneca Falls and Emily Palmer of Seneca Falls; parents, William M. and Arlene (Cardinale) Palmer of Geneva; brother, Gary (Jennifer) Palmer of Seneca Falls; sisters, Kelly Palmer of Geneva, Cindy (Frank) Montana of Whitesboro, NY and Susan Palmer of Geneva; mother-in-law, Judy Price of Albuquerque, NM; father-in-law, Mark McCarty of Bosque, NM; brother-in-law, Jeremiah McCarty of Silver City, NM; sister-in-law, Jennifer McCarty of Pagosa Springs, CO; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
