Obituary of Katherine L. Nardozzi

GENEVA- Katherine "Kitty" L. Nardozzi, 84, passed away peacefully on Sat. (Oct. 27, 2018), with her family by her side at the Geneva Living Center North. In honoring her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wed. (Oct. 31), in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Geneva. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Kitty was born on Sept. 20, 1934, in Waterloo and was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary (Zaremba) Bertino. She was a homemaker who raised her eight sons in a comfortable home. Kitty enjoyed Bingo, horseracing, cooking, baking, traveling to casinos and shopping with her granddaughters. Her favorite teams were the Buffalo Bills and New York Yankees. She valued her family very much and loved spending time with them. She is survived by her sons, Daniel (Jean A.) Nardozzi of Geneva, Ken (Catherine) Nardozzi of Geneva, John (Carol) Nardozzi of Victor, Richard Nardozzi of Geneva, Michael Nardozzi of NV, Tom Nardozzi of Geneva, Robert (Connie) Nardozzi of NV and Don (Lynda) Nardozzi of Geneva; 17 grandchildren, especially beloved grandchildren, Alicia (Anthony), Kara, Joey and Blair; great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; beloved dog companion, Lucy. Kitty was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Anthony Michael Nardozzi who passed away in 2017; siblings, Frank "Bart" Bertino, Joseph Bertino, Josephine Fiorelli, Samuel Bertino, Mike Bertino, Louie Bertino, Dennis "Danny" Bertino, Claire O'Brien and Rudy Bertino.
