Obituary of Albert Thomas

Albert Thomas, Jr. GENEVA- Albert Thomas, Jr., 75, passed into the Arms of his Lord and Savior on Sun. (May 26, 2013), at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Sat. (June 1), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. The book of life was opened for Albert Thomas Jr. better known to all of us as "Sonny" on November 27, 1937 in Sanford, Florida. He was born to the late Warren Sr. and Carrie Bell (Burke) Thomas. He was one of eight children. Sonny moved to Geneva, New York in the 1940's. He worked construction all his life. He worked for Fratto Construction, CP Ward and was currently still working for Northeast Paving at the end. Sonny had a great love for reading the bible, singing, cooking and playing a mean hand of cards. When Sonny was not working he was in the kitchen cooking or riding around with his devoted wife Juanita chasing down a good yard or garage sale. He leaves behind his loving wife Juanita Freeman-Thomas. Children: Danny (Cathy) and Leonard Thomas of Lockport, NY; Albert (Debbie) Thomas of Milwaukee, WI; and James Thomas of Geneva, NY. A host of grandchildren. He leaves behind four brothers Reverend Charlie Thomas and Warren Jr. (Mary) Thomas of Rochester; NY; Burnard Thomas of Geneva, NY, and Vernon (Dolores) Thomas of Waterloo, NY. He leaves two sisters Rose Golden and Carrie Thomas of Geneva, NY. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends. In addition to his parents, Sonny was predeceased by a sister Shirley Nelson-Clay.
