Patti was born on Oct. 5, 1942 in Geneva, NY and was the daughter of the late Dominic and Mary (Marino) Palermo. She was loved by everyone who knew her. She never met a stranger. One of Patti's finest qualities was her kindness and the love and support she gave to her friends and community. She was very active in the community throughout her life. Her proudest accomplishments were being a wife and mother. She enjoyed attending athletic events and driving her children and their friends everywhere they needed to go. In later life, Patti worked at DiDuro Shoe Store and then Geneva City Schools. She worked in the cafeteria feeding thousands of children. Patti volunteered for many welcome wagon events, served many years in the Geneva Junior Football League, American Legion Auxiliary, and served as secretary for many years for Our Lady of Peace Rosary Society. She was very philanthropic and donated money too many causes with St. Jude's being her favorite. Patti loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and many special friends. She was particularly close to her sister and her nieces.
She is survived by her son Joseph (Gia) Democko of Goldsboro, NC; daughter Gina (Todd) Prince of Hilton; sister Phyllis (George) Pedersen of Geneva; sister-in-law Carol Bellis-Webster, VA; grandchildren Nicholas and Gabrielle Prince, Gianna, Joey, and Zach Democko; several nieces and nephews.
Patti is predeceased by her loving husband Walter "Butch" Democko, who she missed terribly for the last 22 months and her brother Frank Palermo.
