Obituary of Shirley E. Liberatore

GENEVA- Shirley E. Liberatore, 81, passed away peacefully on Tues. (April 1, 2014), at the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo, surrounded by her loving family. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thurs. (April 3), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Fri. (April 4), in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456. Shirley was born on Jan. 13, 1933 in Geneva, NY and was a daughter of the late George and Blanch (Payne) Dodd. She was a bookkeeper at Franklin Furniture, worked for Hulse Manufacturing and retired from Zotos. Shirley enjoyed bowling, playing cards with her friends, picnics and going to the lake. She loved cooking for her family and cherished the time she spent with them. Shirley was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. She is survived by her husband, Carmen Liberatore of Geneva; daughters, Janet (Bruce) Fredericksen of Waterloo, Sue Liberatore of Geneva, Sandy (Scott) Brignall of Seneca Falls, Judy Fuller of Geneva and Joyce (Jeff) Wheeler of Phelps; grandchildren, Ashley Perkins, Nichole Fuller, Kayla Fredericksen, Nicholas and Mackenzie Wheeler, Taylor and Hunter Brignall; great-grandson, Rylee Perkins; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at the Huntington Living Center for treating Shirley like family. In addition to her parents, Shirley was predeceased by her brothers, Warren and Robert Dodd; sisters, Marjorie (Chris) Brill and Joyce Kryger.
