Irene Clara Harris (Luongo), age 88, died peacefully Friday, May 8th, 2015
In honoring her wishes, there will be no calling hours and a private graveside service will take place at St Patricks Cemetery. Irene was born on April 15, 1927 in Geneva and was a daughter of the late Anthony and Rose (Pacello) Luongo. She dedicated her life service to teaching children ballet. She was very devoted to her dance and taught her last class at the age of 80. Irene's home was filled with many appreciations, dance awards and loving letters from her students.
She is survived by her sister, Rosalie (John) Hicks of Seneca Castle; nieces, Becky Andrus and Sandy Hicks and nephews, Joe Hicks, Cy Hicks and Alfred Seeley; Irene was predeceased by her longtime friend, Ken Truax and sisters Anna Goldstone, Mary Seeley, and Marge Whalen
Irene also cared for and loved animals. In honor of her last faithful companion, "Gigi", contributions may be made to the Humane Society at Lollipop Farm, 99 Victor Road, Fairport, NY 14450 in Irene's memory.
