Obituary of Elizabeth M. Moses

Elizabeth M. Moses GENEVA - Elizabeth M. Moses, 97, formerly of 69 Tillman St., passed away Sun. (Feb. 27, 2011) at Crest Manor Living and Rehabilitation Center in Perinton. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Mon (March 7) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Trisagion Prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fr. Gregory-Lazarus Murphy officiating. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tues. (March 8) at St. Michael's Orthodox Church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 98 Genesee St. Geneva, NY 14456. Elizabeth was born on Nov. 9, 1913, in Waterloo and was the last surviving child of the late Louis and Julia (Drooby) Mosier of Geneva. At age 25, liz was a meat buyer for the former Market Basket Corporation and later became owner/operator of Schanbacher Meat Market on Washinton St and later the West Lake Road Super Market. She was a member of St. Michael's Orthodox Church. Elizabeth enjoyed cooking Syrian food for her family and friends. She also loved playing cards. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Bette Moses of Carol Stream, Ill, grandchildren, Nicholas J. (Lucinda) Moses and Julie (Christopher) Langan of Glen Ellyn, Ill; great-grandchildren, Carly Jane Moses, Briana, Christopher and Kathryn Langan and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Moses; son, Nicholas J. Moses; brothers, Louis and Adam Mosier, and sisters, Jenny Mosier, Ann Rollo, Helen Whiting, Ruth Abraham and Minnie Scott.
