Lynn Remmel Broderick STANLEY- Lynn Remmel Broderick, 75, passed away on Thurs. (May 3, 2012), at Rochester General Hospital. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Fri. (May 11), at St. Peter's Episcopal Church 149 Genesee St. Geneva. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Sat. (May 12) at the church. Entombment will follow in St. Peter's columbarium at the convenience of the family. In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to St. Peter's Episcopal Church P.O. Box 147 Geneva, NY 14456. Lynn was born on Feb. 24, 1937 in Rochester, NY. She was the daughter of the late Rev. Norman A. and Lillian (Reynolds) Remmel. Lynn graduated from Geneva High School and SUNY Albany. She returned to Geneva High School to teach Biology and Biological Science for over 30 years. She also coached cheerleading for many years. She grew up in St. Peter's Episcopal Church, where her father was a long time rector. In 2008, Lynn was ordained a Deacon of the Episcopal Church, a ministry which she fulfilled faithfully until her death. She was a volunteer of North Seneca Ambulance Corp., and worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor for the Geneva Recreation Center. She was also active through the American Red Cross. One of her biggest passions was spending summers on Turtle Island on Loughborough Lake in Battersea, Canada. She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Broderick of Stanley; sons, John (Michele Rutland) Broderick of Wynantskill, NY and Dr. James Broderick of Canandaigua; brother, Francis E. (Ellen) Remmel of Oswego; sister, Alison Almeida of Littlecompton, RI; grandchildren, Alaina, Alex and Jillian Broderick and several beloved nieces and nephews. In her many roles Lynn was known as a friend, and admired and loved by all. "Well done, good and faithful servant" Matthew 25:21
